Outdoor Adventure Camp
July 5 - 9, 2010
Who: Open to participants ages 8-18 with autism spectrum disorders
Where: Meet at the Challenge Aspen office each morning
Cost: $650
Participants will gain a sense of personal growth and self-empowerment by actively participating in fun, supervised and structured activities that focus on group recreation, life skills, communication and safety.
The camp is led by a team of professional instructors, and each participant will also have an assigned buddy for the week to assist with activities. Lunch is provided each day.
Schedule (subject to change):
Monday: Arts and crafts, then lunch and a Jeep tour of Snowmass Mountain
Tuesday: Equine therapy, then lunch and swimming at the Snowmass Recreation Center
Wednesday: Putt-putt golf, then lunch and swimming at the Glenwood Hot Springs pool
Thursday: Alpine tower ropes course at Challenge Aspen's Wilderness Ranch
Friday: Whitewater rafting on the Roaring Fork River followed by a celebration picnic.
