Winter Adaptive Sports Internship

Who we are: Challenge Aspen is a non-profit in Snowmass Village, CO dedicated to impacting lives by presenting meaningful recreational, educational and cultural experiences to individuals faced with cognitive or physical challenges.
Who we are looking for: Outgoing adaptive sports interns with an intermediate to advanced skiing ability are now being hired for the winter season to help achieve Challenge Aspen’s goals. Eight On-Hill Interns will primarily spend their time skiing and inspiring participants.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting an instructor on a lesson
- Being a buddy for the day
- Skiing in a group setting during camp
- Some office administrative work required on occasion
When: November 18, 2013 – April 15, 2014 including most weekends & holidays*
*Must be able to commit to full duration of internship
Compensation:
- $950 / month, housing not provided or $450 / month, housing provided
- plus a season ski pass
Requirements:
- 21 years of age or older
- Intermediate skiing level (If skiing ability is unsatisfactory, intern will be replaced during the first week of on-snow training.)
- A valid driver’s license
- All interns must be able to pass a background check
Timeline:
- Application deadline: Friday, August 16, 2013 - 12:00 am MDT (no late applications will be accepted)
- Email telephone interview notifications: August 23, 2013
- Telephone interviews: August 26-29, 2013
- Email Skype interview notifications: August 30, 2013
- Skype interviews: September 2-12, 2013
- Final selection notification: September 13, 2013
